University Savoie Mont Blanc
Founded 1970 as Centre Universitaire de Savoie under the 1968 law reforming higher education and replacing institutions attached to former Université de Grenoble. Acquired present status and title 1979. A State institution enjoying academic and financial autonomy, operating under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Education and financed by the State. Previously known as University of the Savoie, Chambéry (Université de Savoie). Acquired current title 2014.
