University of Tehran
University of Tehran is Iran's leading modern university. Some parts of the university were established at the time of Amirkabir, the then Prime Minister of the Qajar dynasty within the framework of Dar ul-Funun (Polytechnic) School in 1851. As a pioneer in higher education, University of Tehran was officially ratified by the then Iranian Parliament in 1934.

By the then Iranian Parliament law in 1934 . University of Tehran is under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is governed by a Board of Trustees, University Council and President of the university.
