Parakou University
Founded 2001 by Ministerial decree. Created from the breaking down of the National University of Benin into two national Universities: Abomey Calavi University and Parakou University in line with the Government's desire to accommodate the influx of upper six formers (holders of Baccalaureate) wishing to gain admission into higher institutions under adequate conditions.
