Óbuda University is the legal successor of the Public Secondary Industrial School of Budapest, established in 1879 and the Hungarian Royal Public Training School of Mechanics and Watchmaking, established in 1889. Óbuda University’s direct predecessor is Budapest Tech, 2000. Acquired present title 2010.
